A Taste of Rebooting the Bible, Part 2

I’m hard at work.  I’ve completed 5 chapters (all of them 15,000 words or better) and have 2 more to go.  Plus an introduction and recap of Part 1 of RTB.

I thought those who follow me might appreciate a taste of what is to come.  I expect to be done by the end of March with a release date about May the 1st (some promotional work will be done in April).

HUNTING THE “MIGHTY HUNTER” – NIMROD

More Than the Antichrist Archetype?

One of the most intriguing characters in the Old Testament is Nimrod, son of Cush, and grandson of Ham. His name often comes up as the archetype of the Antichrist. It turns out that when we dig into the story surrounding Nimrod, there is much more to be said about his importance than just the speculation that he might be figure who arises again in the last days (“who was, is not, but will be again” – Revelation 17:8) as the Antichrist.

CORRECTING CHRONOLOGY –
THE GENESIS TIMELINE RECOVERED

Summary:  The conventional biblical timeline is presented in the King James Bible and was supported by the work of Bishop Ussher in his magnum opus, Annals of the World. But does his work stand up to scrutiny from both biblical and secular scholars?  There is much debate. I touch on that debate here, pointing out the distinction between the creation of the universe and the creation of humankind. the pivotal issue has to do with whether the Masoretic Text’s chronology or the Septuagint’s chronology is correct. What does the Septuagint teach that Read More

A FUN BUT POWERFUL INTERVIEW – CANARY CRY RADIO

AFTER THE RAPTURE, WHAT COMES NEXT?

Two of my favorite  interviewers are Gonzo Shimura and Basil Rosewater. Their show, Canary Cry Radio, is both humorous and deep. These cool guys deal with some of the most intriguing “fringe” issues on the minds of Christian apologists today.

Co-author Gray Huffman and I enjoy being interviewed by these “two guys with a mic” discussing our book, The Revealing, whose depth and topics caught them somewhat by surprise.  There is a lot to talk about and there are quite a few moments of humor along the way.

[The Revealing has Read More
