JUST HOW OUT OF DATE ARE THE U.S. LAND-BASED NUKES?
It is a good thing to be testing the Minuteman III missile. Our land based missile was first deployed in 1970. It was meant to have a ten-year useful life and then it would be replaced. However, it is 46 years later (that is FORTY-SIX YEARS LATER) and our land-based ICBM is still what we store in the silos in Montana, North Dakota, and California. But not to worry, our government is so confident that we do not need a real nuclear deterrent on land that we aren’t planning to deploy a next generation ICBM until 2030. Yep… it will be SIXTY YEARS between generations of land-based nuclear weapons.
Of course, the Russians do more test firing than we do. Why you ask? Because they continue to design, develop, and deploy updated and truly modern weapons such as their mobile launched ICBMs like the SS-27. So they must test them.
Oh, and by the way, we actually haven’t built a nuclear warhead for these missiles in over 30 years as well. And we certainly haven’t test fired one. The article referenced reference below suggests we might not really need to spend money on nukes anymore. I wish it were so.
Should we be concerned? I think we should. That is why I speculate, based upon Bible prophecy, that the U.S. will be decimated by nuclear attack from the Russians sometime in the not too distant future. If you want more information, please read my new book, THE NEXT GREAT WAR IN THE MIDDLE EAST: RUSSIA PREPARES TO FULFILL THE PROPHECY OF GOG AND MAGOG. Am I an alarmist? I’ll just refer once again to the fact that our Minuteman III missile is so long in the tooth, that when it was designed and deployed, the Beatles were still together and Neil Armstrong had just walked on the moon. Almost 50 years ago now…
