Are you curious about what our life might be life after we die? Do you believe we will have eternal life in the presence of God and the ones we love? Why do we want to live forever? Gary Huffman and I address these issues and many more in the book, THE REVEALING.
About ten days ago, Gary and I had the privilege to be with Tony on his show, A Minute to Midnight. We had a very energetic and informative discussion. I invite you to listen to the one hour interview. Our discussion got into some engaging discussion about the issues above as well as the meaning of glorification and the place of sanctification in preparing us for the next life.
The topic of the afterlife is one that holds interest to most everyone. For Christians, the notion of glorification is somewhat taken for granted. But what does glorification really mean? Do Christians think our next life is playing harps and sitting in the clouds? Will we have wings like angels? Or will our body be like the body of Christ after his resurrection? If it is, what exactly does that mean?
Few of us realize that the Tabernacle in the Wilderness (as well as the Temple) paints a vivid picture of the transformation of believers and teach us about the vital process of sanctification. Romans 8:19 says (ESV), “For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.” This intense longing (sometimes translated “the groaning”) of creation is due to the anticipation yet to be realized. With the revealing, the creation itself begins to be transformed as well since the principles of sin and death that are no longer holding sway over the creation.
Tony asks great questions and Gary and I dig deeper into the book to respond to his inquiries. We cover concepts and scriptures that are good for all of us to ponder. Please join us for the interview!
