Summary: I’ve been called many names since I dare to assert that the King James Bible has flaws. After all, isn’t it based on the “received text?” And doesn’t mean that it is inspired such that it is inerrant? I don’t think so. What the authors originally wrote were moved by God to compose what He wanted – inerrantly. But through the years changes were made, including the corruption of selected passages of the Old Testament by the rabbis of the second century A.D. Protestant Old Testaments, the Catholic Vulgate’s Old Testament, and the Hebrew Bible – the Biblia Hebraica, … Read More

THE GENESIS TIMELINE RECOVERED
Summary: The conventional biblical timeline is presented in the King James Bible and was supported by the work of Bishop Ussher in his magnum opus, Annals of the World. But does his work stand up to scrutiny from both biblical and secular scholars? There is much debate. I touch on that debate here, pointing out the distinction between the creation of the universe and the creation of humankind. the pivotal issue has to do with whether the Masoretic Text’s chronology or the Septuagint’s chronology is correct. Summary: The Septuagint presents the Messiah as God incarnate, whose bodily sacrifice is the means for our salvation. The New Testament quotes the Septuagint (LXX) and not the Masoretic Text (MT) upon which all Protestant Bibles rely for the Old Testament. Therefore, the Messiah is a rock of stumbling for those who do not believe. However, He is the rock of our salvation, for both Gentiles and for Jews, who … Read More
Summary:There are many passages in the Hebrew Masoretic Text that do not reflect the original Hebrew which has been demonstrated to be the Vorlage of the Septuagint (from which the Greek Bible was copied) and the most ancient copies of the Hebrew. The passages in question number several dozen – not counting the Genesis 5 and 11 chronologies that also were changed to hide the timing of the Messiah’s coming. The primary emphasis in these targeted passages relate to prophecies about the Messiah, His nature and His mission. In this article, we look at six pivotal passages comparing the … Read More

Rabbi Akiba, its newly acknowledged leader, elected to attack Christianity’s principaltext; namely, the Septuagint translated from the old Hebrew in Alexandria 400 years earlier. How could he do this? And is it speculation to think … Read More
