2017 was a stunning year because of many things, including a surprising outcome in the Presidential election, massive hurricane destruction, and the threat of the world exploding into nuclear war.
2018 promises much the same. However, don’t let the potential negative events overwhelm the joy we are to have in our hearts and lives. We know the King. As the cliche goes, we don’t know what the future holds, but we know who holds the future. When circumstances race out of control, God is never panicked by the pace. The kings of the earth believe they dictate what will happen. But the Lord laughs. (Psalm 2) He, not they, holds the whole world in his hands.
In 2018, draw close to your family, your friends, and press in to God our Father. And be blessed in this new year.
